The Labyrinth at Frontier Park (left) is one of many familiar locations that form the visual background for 1000, a film about people striving to follow their dreams in Erie, Pennsylvania. Shooting took place over a nine-month period from summer 2016 to spring 2017.

Jennifer Dennehy (right) is one of more than 30 talented people in Erie who participated in interviews and action sequences for 1000. Jennifer is a hoop dancer, teaching artist and choreographer. She talks about how her parents tried to discourage her early interest in an arts career.

R.J. Messinger (left) is an Erie native who left a good job with the City of Erie to pursue his dreams. R.J.'s Iron Empire brand of athletic wear is gaining recognition nationally, while he's involved in many charitable causes back in Erie. We caught him backstage at the City Mission's Knock Out Homelessness charity boxing event.

Grandmaster Sam Copeland is one of the founding fathers of martial arts in Erie. We went with him to a big martial arts competition at the Avalon Hotel, and sat down for an interview at one of the studios where he teaches (a beautiful and tranquil background for what turned out to be a remarkable interview).
